Our main activity is the creation of new woodland - carbon sinks.
We could not do this without engaging in a range of complementary activity:
Consulting for the government, through the Forestry Commission, on forestry based carbon off-setting policy both in the UK and abroad and contributing to public consultations.
Consulting in the private sector on climate change legislation, carbon trading and carbon foot-printing.
Designing a trading mechanism to incentivise avoided deforestation in developing countries.
Speaking at various conferences, including at McGill University during the UNFCCC COP in 2005, and at the forthcoming annual conference of the Chartered Institute of Foresters (with carbon as the theme).
